Specialist Golf Insurance

WHY DO YOU NEED GOLF INSURANCE?

Don't play the risk

Rubber Ring Golf Insurance can shield you from the potentially heavy expenses resulting from theft, loss or damage to your golf equipment or having an accident on the course.

Whether it’s a damaged club or an errant golf ball that hits someone or someone’s property, having the right insurance policy can save you from considerable financial strain. In addition to protecting your equipment and personal well-being, golf insurance can also provide coverage for membership fees and tournament entry costs. If you find yourself unable to play due to injury or illness, this coverage can prove invaluable.

Before you enjoy your golf, invest in the peace of mind that a specialist golf insurance policy covers you and your equipment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Don't play the risk

In some instances your golf equipment can be covered on your home insurance policy but a lot of the time it an optional add-on with an extra premium to pay. Be aware that you may also need to itemise your golf equipment on your home insurance.

Even if your golf equipment is covered on your home insurance, these particular policies usually come with a higher excess to pay and making a claim can also effect your renewal premium.

With Rubber Ring Golf Insurance there is only a £50 excess to pay (which can be waived for £7.50/year) and any claims made do not affect your renewal price.
Also worth mentioning is that a home insurance policy will not come with golfing specific cover such as Hole-In-One protection.

Is my golf equipment covered in the boot of my car?

Yes, your golf insurance equipment is covered 24 hours a day regardless of where your vehicle is parked. All we ask is that your car is fully locked and your golfing equipment is totally concealed in the boot or under the parcel shelf/manufacturer’s fitted cover.

The most important thing you need to check when buying your golf insurance is the level of cover it provides you and your equipment. Some insurers out there may offer free gifts like a box of golf balls with every new insurance policy, when in fact, none of that matters. What matters is what you are covered for and if you trust that company to be there you if you need to make a claim.

Unlike some insurers, a Rubber Ring Golf Insurance policy covers you and your equipment at any time of the day and anywhere in the world. (Worldwide cover is included up to 120 days) Remember, golf insurance is NOT a load of balls!

The full list of equipment covered is as follows:

  • Golf clubs
  • Bags
  • Trolleys
  • Single-seated buggies
  • GPS equipment and range finders
  • Clothing
  • Footwear
  • Accessories specifically designed and purchased for playing golf including baggage, personal possessions and trophies, cups and awards

As an added benefit, we have no single item limits on our equipment cover. That means even if you have a particularly expensive driver, set of irons, or bag, you will always be covered up to the total amount set out in your policy schedule.

Should you injure someone else or damage their property whilst on a golf course, Personal Liability Cover will take care of the cost of defending you in court, as well as any damages payable.
There was a case in recent history where a golfer hit a wayward shot that caused the loss of another’s golfer’s eye and he was held liable along with his golf club to the tune of £397,000.
It’s not always the case that a golf club will cover these liabilities so always make sure you find this out before you tee off; or just make sure you have the adequate cover in place yourself to get that peace of mind.
